Saying No

It is very difficult sometimes when you have to make choices or say no. Something in me says I should not disappoint others and should help and engage with them but that also takes me on a journey which stops other things from happening.... what is the course of unconditional love in this case? I presume it is open and honest communication from the heart but it can seem judgemental and harsh.
